The 128/512/Plus all had different ABs and got the 'P' suffix. I don't know if the Classic and Classic II got the suffix, but they certainly came in separate 120/240V versions.

Question - the badge on the dual 1.44mb model says "SE Superdrive" but the machine has two drives, so shouldn't it be "SE Superdrives"?

@ClassicGuyPhilly is it worth noting that the Macintosh ED variant of the 512ke came in (I think) only the Platinum color?
Also, Wikipedia has for years persisted in saying that there was a Platinum variant of the (non-ED) 512ke (i.e., with no front wordmark, and with a Mac Plus-style unframed Apple logo on the front). I have always thought this is wrong, but if true, it surely qualifies as another variant. (If false, someone should really delete this bad info from Wikipedia…)

Looked through the page edit history for the 512ke page and found this (internet archived) source with pictures of a platinum 512ke
Edit: The model number shows that it is a 512k ED with no badge. So wrong Wikipedia info, but not that wrong.
Ah yes I remember that old image. I decided years ago it was a (220V) Macintosh ED from which someone acetone’d the front wordmark…
It would have totally made sense for Apple to sell 512KEs that look like this - just use the Plus front bucket and don’t bother to silkscreen the wordmark there … but I don’t think they ever actually did. Hell with it, I’m going to Be Bold and just delete that from Wikipedia.

For the record, the conclusion of that thread was that the model in question was indeed a Macintosh ED (just missing the front wordmark for some reason). So we still have no record of the existence of any Platinum 512Ke that is NOT a Macintosh ED.

My 240V Classic and Classic II do not have a P-suffix on the model number.
