$500 PowerBook 100

Oh dear....

The question is though, why bother when you can buy five of these babies for the same price, from the same seller? :p

Here's another classic :D

Just where do those Pink trackballs come from anyway?
They were a very popular option for PowerBooks back in the day. You could buy a pack of multi-colored ones and swap 'em in and out daily if you wanted.

When I discovered them after the fact, I had to look high and low for a yellow one for a Duo, the only one I've ever seen for a Duo, far more rare than the 100s. (Not my favorite but better than gray).

Sadly, at this late date I suspect finding one in something other than a PowerBook would be rare, most loose ones being thrown out as worthless toys and hardly associated with what in my personal opinion is the best mouse control device in history, the trackball. I love it so much I swapped out the trackball bezel from my Duo 280 with my Duo 2300 which was the first come with a trackpad. I hated upgrading to the G3 because it forced me to finally move to the trackpad.

Many have substituted marbles and ball-bearings that have the same diameter. The Duo was problematic because of it's odd size, but I think the 100 series was a pretty common size. The information is online somewhere or get yourself a pair of cheap calipers. (useful for so many things)

I can't believe that guy took a best offer of $45 for a 733mhz Digital Audio. They are easily worth more than even the $100 he was asking in the BIN.

hehe, yup! Me too! I wonder if this guy will take a hint. But man, that would be totally awesome if the guy caved in. C'mon guys! we can take this guy down!

$4.99 him to death!

kps101 isn't usually known for his low prices. He is one of the ones that lists Quadras for $1000 when he has them. That was why I was so surprised he let himself be lowballed on that G4. I doubt he'll cave on the price of the Powerbook 100.

Somebody needs to tell him that he's listing the wrong size of hard drive for his working PB's; instead, he's listing how much space is used on the disk.

I put in a $4.99 offer as well.

This would be worth it for the LCD it's self, since the one in mine is busted. Everything else works, though. If I can combine them (maybe just swap the mobo from mine into this one, since mine has a pretty beat up case and no port door), this would be worth it. Mine has the original 20mb HD, but the max 8mb RAM. I got lucky one day and found a 6mb RAM card for mine (not the easiest thing to find).

-digital ;)

hahahaha, my offer got declined too!! Sadly, they don't give an explanation.

Seriously, there is no way something that DOESNT WORK should be that much. $4.99 him to death!!

I bet he fried the lobo with a higher-voltage PSU, since he seems to have tested all the PB's with an 180 PSU.

You know, I find myself being extremely surprised that the word "RARE!" appears nowhere in that auction...
