I have a heap of 30-pin SIMMs that I'd like to test.

Anyone know of a cheaper tester kit or something I can build up?

An Arduino Mega256 would have enough I/O pins to test a SIMM. The most challenging bit will be to test memory at the full speed of the memory. Basic functionality would be fine though.

My go to tester has been a 486 motherboard! It POSTS quickly and you can run Memtest on it
