Well I had been contemplating the purchase of a new computer for a while since my iPad has essentially replaced my MacBook for portability. Looked on craigslist and found a Late 09 iMac Core 2 3.06ghz with 4GB RAM 500gb HD Came with a Magic Mouse and Wireless Keyboard Which will go out with the living room Mac Mini. Also Came with an iLugger carrying case for it. I can already tell shes faster. Those integrated graphics sucked bad. This has the nVidia 9400 which works quite well.

Thats up for sale if anyone needs it since I dont forsee taking my iMac out of the house

Fun fact: The base model late-2009 iMac totally had the same GeFORCE 9400m shared/integrated graphics that the Mac Mini does.

Wonderful.. Still better then the old intel vampire video. Only issue I have on this 21.5 iMac is the colors arent as vibrant as what im used to on my 24 inch LCD that I had attached to the MacBook

Just curious, what did you pay for this? I had same model and sold it without the mouse (because I sold that as soon as I took it out of the box) and I got $800 in July of 2010. I didn't take a huge loss because I bought it 25% off retail because of my job at Apple when I bought it. I am so glad I got rid of it. I absolutely hated that machine. Most of it's life it sat on my desk not being used at all because I couldn't stand the glare on the display. I even bought new DARK blindes for the room it was in but they made little difference between light from the outside leaked in. Performance was pretty crap too for a $1200 machine, even for 2009/2010. Thankfully I only paid $899 plus tax!

$650 for it, came with 2 extra wireless keyboards, a carrying case and magic mouse. I have my Extended Keyboard II hooked to it since I cannot stand the current apple keyboard offerings

Thats not too awful. iLuggers are $150, but if you don't need it, its no use. Troll an Apple store and offer it to a OneToOne member for half price and you'll probably be able to sell it. Those old people who go in for training love those things.

So far im pleased with the performance of the system, Much better then my Late 2007 MacBook. Im still getting used to the single display, but I may just end up getting a portrait display since they can be had cheap near me.

If someone wants the iLugger 75 plus shipping and they can have it. Its taking up closet space

Yeah, even if it's better than the older GMA 950 or GMA 3100 chips (huh, wonder if the fact it's 2-4 years newer has anything to do with that?), it's still vampire video. It's possible that it matters less since systems these days ship with 4 gigs of ram, and the 9400m does have a bit better performance, but it's (probably, that is, unless you have the ATi 4670, in which case you just have a 256mb dedicated graphics chip) still integrated video.

The iLugger is a pretty cool idea, I have a friend who had her 20-inch white iMac in one, it was hilarious to see her carrying that thing around as she was pretty short and petite. The iLugger is totally better than boxing up your iMac in its original box or just dumping it on a car seat or whatever if you need to take it on vacation with you (like you're going to visit someone you know will have a desk available, like going to see parents for winter break.)
