I never thought the Brazillians on the cutting edge of technology, but it would seem Unitron had Apple beat at their own game introducing advancements to the original compact well before the SE hit the shores. Not likely expandable, at least it solved the drive problem. And they were green long before Apple choosing to use three standard batteries rather than one toxic one for the PRAM backup.

Yeah...the Unitron Mac512...it was built by a company called Unitron in Brazil, who made Apple II clones. Apparently up until 1992 it was illegal to import a computer into Brazil, meaning the computers there had to be "home grown". So Unitron decided they'd build a Mac clone, so that people in Brazil could buy Macs there. Anyway, since they used a copy of the Mac's ROM, Apple sued and won, and that was the end of that.
