Got another 1400cs in the mail today, thanks to a generous forum member. It has no hard drive, but boots right up off a power adapter. This one, aside from the missing keys, is in better shape than my original one, so I'll probably just transfer the HD/any RAM over to the new one (assuming its the same clock speed), and use it to replace my 2300c for journaling (I really did try to work with the Duo keyboard, I just couldn't do it.).
