I have two '12 RGB monitors with varying problems. One spent an extended time period in a heavy smoke area, while the other fell CRT first onto the ground in a box. (Luckily only the plastics were slightly cracked)
The "Smoke" one works fine, but the monitor color is dirty gray after a period of unuse and turns back into the normal color after several minutes. At occasions, the monitor brightness goes brighter very slowly by itself and at a certain point in the process, it turns off by itself, where it requires a off/on press.
The "Injury" one works normally, but the image is distorted in the middle and has a bright white line in the center.
Suggestions? Would I be able to combine these (if necessary) into one working monitor? Thanks!
