well i have OS X 10.3.9 on it now with an OS 9 complement.
I tried apple's terminal commands after making a backup of the file that the commands were supposed to change which was a good thing to because i needed to copy it back from os 9 because there was no video out :p
but the black screen...
Alright I am posting from the Beige now all problems have been solved.
madmax_2069 thanks for the suggestions tried them all none solved my problem even the cuda reset. But i did get it working by installing my Nvidia GeForce MX 100/200 PCI card which isn't a mac compatible card but it...

Yep same issue here however i haven't had any luck with the work arounds how did you get it working? Only solution i have heard of is a mac compatible PCI video card. If x post facto removes the 8 gb limit that explains why i never had stability issues with OS X besides the normal instability, i...

Semantic security alert
Disables (a,e,i,o,u) keys so your wrong Coius :p
It would be great to collect some of this stuff.
Another prank that comes to mind was Playing Possum however i think you had to pay money for that one.
I remember one trick program that somehow managed to find its way into the Control Panel folder of an iMac that played back the system alert sound back upon loading into the desktop. I didn't keep it :p
I have been satisfied with my Netgear Range Max Wireless router model WNDR3300 which also broadcasts 11G and 11N for compatibility.
The interesting thing was that the signal got better after 2 days of use and my mini gets full signal on the opposite side of the house now vs the westell router...
Turns out that the Network browser crash is a bug not a flaw :D :D i got the same freeze from the iMac DV SE so i am guessing that the rest of the crashes were similar bugs in the OS 9 software.
Probably means i should start looking for a new video card so I can run OS X.
while reinstalling the ram sticks i noticed one of them sounded like crinkling cellophane however that stick appeared to work normally (if you can call it normal) with the computer running with just that one stick. But i think i might try removing that stick for a little while.
i should also...
Well thats what I have it was either a 128K or 512K but one of the previous owners got the official upgrade kit to a Mac Plus
But the real question is what category does this fit into? Is t a Mac Plus or is it a 512K? You could look at it as a modded 512K or you could look at it as having the...
Ug i want to get rid of my CRTs but it would be expensive to replace all 3 CRTs i use on a regular basis. They are all crap at this point. one has a bad cable one has scratches on the anti glare/anti static coating, and one has a factory defect (thank you Samsung) the defect causes a contact to...
k the beige is reformatted however it just crashed and froze again... this time it was during shutdown the finder "unexpectedly quit" during the shutdown proses and i told it to shut down and complete freeze. Now who wasn't expecting the finder to quit i have no idea because i was expecting it...
while i take an hour to back up my files would you care to elaborate on "bad things"
Well looks like my usb hard drive will also crash it
AWWW crap where is my usb drive its not mounting in OS X now.....
Well i think we can count out ram as I just tried each stick one at a time and i still encountered the freezes with each one of the sticks.
What might me helpful is another beige owner opened network browser without the network cable plugged in to make sure that this isn't a flaw but a problem :p
thanks for the suggestion and its defiantly worth trying but I think I will see if there is something else I can do first.
The HD is sort of a recent change however, i replaced it because the Quantum fireball was doing some really odd things and having data corruption issues. Come to think of...
^^ found that while googling for what CUDA stands for and apparently it it stands for Capacitive Unit Discharge ASIC and ASIC stands for Application-Specific Integrated Circuit! The more you know
Its a MT
There are 3 Dims
64 MB not specified
64 MB not specified
128 MB PC-133 <--- think it was freezing before I added this stick
Tested memory for 3 hours with Gauge Pro no problems found
I have a retail copy OS 9.2.1 and I also have the 9.2.2 update
TCP/IP is configured to connect...
Ok I have this Beige and its crashing in OS 9.2.2 whenever I use the Network browser without having ethernet cord plugged in.
This one sure way to get it to crash but there are other ways but whenever it crashes I have to unplug the computer 8-o because the power button will not respond.
The...
