    My Apple Unidisk 5 1/4 disk drives doesn't read disks. Drive lights stay solid on both drives.

    Used the image from Mac OS 9 lives now it won't boot again after a restart. Won't boot holding c or option with a CD. Get an error in single user mode.

    I recently re did the thermal paste in my power mac g4. It was completely dead after re installing the heat sink (I used a respectable brand of non conductive thermal paste. I just reflowed the CPU today after letting it sit for months. If all else fails I will try and find a replacement CPU...

    does it need the outer metal rim? since there's a center ground on the inside pin.
