This is particularly interesting. Does it mean that if I take an iMac/266 Mac OS 8.5.1 install CD; insert it in my PB1400c/166's CD ROM; find the equivalent installer application and hold option while double-clicking it, it'll bypass the Machine check on that too?

Does that mean the SCC on a B&W G3 is somehow accessible, maybe via some pads on the logic board? That is, I understand the earliest iMacs had some legacy internal peripherals and connectors and the B&W G3s still have ADB. Does that mean there's other legacy hardware on them?
