    PowerBook 5300ce - 8.1 or 8.6?

    The first upgrade I would get 44pin to SD adapter for what its worth. 8.6 you might find it sluggish - My 1400/166 is on 8.1 and its comfortable, but 3400/240 is on 8.6 its perfect. Cheers AP

    To hunt one down (I'm not being negative) the chances is very slim to find the adapter board. You're better off getting complete board. Cheers AP

    FYI - Quadra 605 is basically LC475 - it has a jumper attached to it to become Quadra 605, otherwise without it it'll become LC475. Cheers AP

    Hey mate - I did try doing it on Q660av - same issue what you're having - ditched it and moved back to Q800 in Q700 shell (I did have it running in Q950 but I rather Q700 shell with 800 board in it). Running 1.6.4 with Mac OS 7.6.1 Cheers AP
