I'd just recommend a 2GB or 4GB card, and partition it, if using on a 68K Mac. Can be had cheap on the used market, since most DSLRs that use CF are now equipped with 32GB or larger media, like this 128GB card -...
Picking up a 7100/66 for $75. Looks like it may've been purchased as an upgrade kit machine by the original owner, since it has a Sony CDU-561-25 CD-ROM drive with the caddy bezel. I may modify the machine's floppy drive slot a little, since it seems that the MP-F75W will actually work ok in a...
Protip: if your daily driver machine has enough free space on its hard drive, take the whole archive for the Apple FTP server, and host it on said computer. Then, you can access them
via your ethernet/wireless network using file sharing.
👍🏻
Probably, re: the sticker. I know that one of my Mac II machines from the 2012 conquest was also similarly mint. Makes sense, since it came with the box. Think that one received the fx board in 2013.
IIRC, the 450, etc, came with a modified Disk Tools disk, which I do happen to have (and used to boot my IIfx when the 7.6 Disk Tools 1 disk stopped working recently). Has the same desktop pattern, and different names for the Disk First Aid & HD SC Setup applications.
Or to the front panel, that way, you can take the drive shelf out to do memory upgrades, etc, without disconnecting the batteries. Had considered doing that on the fx, then found that Batteries Plus has non-lethal Lithium Manganese 1/2AA batteries available...
GraphicConverter does have a slide show mode that might work, but I'm not sure if it'll work with files that are being downloaded. Probably will, though.
Picked up the second M1212 today. Decided to give my buddy the other M1212, since it was in better cosmetic condition than the one I kept. Need to clean the front bezel, the brightness and contrast adjustment wheels, and remove some foam mounting tape from the upper corner of the monitor.
Grabbed one of the M1212 monitors today. Picking up the other after the new year, and meeting up with a buddy of mine to grab the rest of the stuff on the 7th.
Bunch of floppies over the past 2-3 weeks. A bunch of utility floppies today, then a couple disks and the three MacWorld Mac & PowerMac Secrets disks a couple weeks ago. Next will be a couple M1212 monitors from commanderscott on the 'bay, and a couple Macs that @Mk.558 grabbed for me from...
I've been there... Between 2015 and 2021, I essentially had a maximum of four Apple machines. A Mac Pro that was my daily driver after the MacBook got cherry coke spilled into the keyboard; my old //e that I picked up in 2005 and rarely used after 2016 - didn't even have a floppy drive for it...
