I have a GS I got...at some point that I don't remember?(In a lot of Macs or something I think), but haven't done much with it besides remove the battery.  It does have a SCSI interface card in it, so I should pull it out and start playing with it

Those look fantastic!  I've been needing to pull out my SE/30 to diagnose an issue with the floppy controller, and this is going to help a ton vs the old schematics.

You might be able to use a SCSI PCI card, make an image of the drive, and boot that off of an emulator, (sheepshaver or something?), and get the files off using that. But I agree with what LaPorta said, finding a member here willing to do it may be the cheapest/easiest way

I think eraser started the whole new ribon thing, and then maceffects took over(but I don't think he's doing that anymore as he has his hands full with the cases) The ebay link says it has 1 year warranty and the dude has really good feedback, so could be worth buying it from him
