Only the one disk which works fine in a 512ke that I have. Going to try format it single sided and put system 1.1 o there see how that goes.

It gave the code part way through attempting to boot from the external drive.  I was using an disk formatted 800K. According to Apple the code I got relates to the lack of support in the ROM for 800K disks.  I think it was 0F0004.

I noticed that there is a larger filter cap. It looks ok but would it be worth also replacing this in an effort to solve my circuit breaking Mac plus issues?

I just thought, will it matter that I have a 240V (Australian) analogue board, it shouldn't matter for the flyback?

I just picked up an SE from Ebay with a 20Mb hard drive and 4Mb RAM. It's currently running System 7, but feels a little sluggish compared to my Macintosh Plus. I was wondering what the optimal OS is to run on these?

I have discovered a lot of oxidation or scorch marks on one of the pins of the J1 connector on my Mac Plus. Is it possible to clean this effectively or should I attempt to solder the wires directly to the analog board?
