Yep, capacitors. ALL my CC's have the same problem (all FOUR). I replaced the caps very carefully on one board as they were all visibly leaking. Still doesn't work though...

I've never seen that variation in Australia. I've got a couple of the original Graphite ones, and a few of the white ones with the chrome Apple logo but never seen a white one with a grey Apple. Bargain too.
