Won't read sit files from PC

The one's I'm getting from there seem to be zapped for some reason. The sit files on max1zzz's ftp server seem to be fine though if I get them through Fetch. (offtopic: is there some kind of ssh client for sys7?)

Won't read sit files from PC

It also happens if I download the files straight from the Mac using Netscape 3 from sites like Macintosh Garden as well. Is there a way I can fix that? I have StuffIt 4.0.1 installed on the Mac btw.

Won't read sit files from PC

I have a system running 7.5.5 and it won't read sit files that I transfer from my PC using HFVExplorer. They just show up with a blank file icon and stuffit won't extract them. There is probably some really obvious x for this, but I've searched and haven't been able to find it. Thanks

    OS X DP2 installation issue

The install manual says it works with currently shipping Power Mac G4s. The readme is dated for October of 1999, I bet that's why.  But by that logic, DP3 should work as its readme is from January 2000. This Power Mac is from December 1999. Maybe they just didn't add the drivers for it until...

    OS X DP2 installation issue

The drive works, the installer just doesn't recognize it. I've tested it with 8.6, 9.0, 9.2.2, 10.4, etc.

    OS X DP2 installation issue

I have a 350 MHz Power Mac G4 and I'm trying to install DP2 on it. It boots to the installer fine however it doesn't detect the hard disk, only Mac_OS_X which I'm guessing is the CD. If I try to install to that it just halts the system. Any ideas? According to the install guide it supports...

    Installers on hard disks

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to put OS 9/8/OS X DP installers on hard drives. It would be convenient for installing operating systems faster on classic Macs. I am talking about IDE hard disks. I'm guessing you could just have different partitions with the blessed OS install System Folders?

    What to do with 6100/60?

I have a 6100/60 in working condition. Everything works but the CD drive. I wanted to try out Copland and some other OSes but the CD tray is broken. The floppy drive works but it's kinda iffy.
