That's what I was thinking, but don't these things have about 16 MB VRAM (MacTracker says 8 or 16 MB)? Isn't the VRAM soldered to the board as well? I don't see why 4 MB DIMM will help with anything... Unless I'm missing something.

The case is loose on the bottom, as it has been for a while. It's just the top that needs, uh, pushing/pulling. (By the way, as for Mountain Lion, so far so good.)

384 MB of ram is a respectable amount for a machine that age, right? OS9 works well with even about 200MB, in my experience. (Yes, i'm new. Hello community!)
