If you dont mind disassembling your vintage Mac, SCSI drives can be mounted with BasiliskII version 142 for Windows,
given you got some working SCSI HA installed in your Windows box.
I mounted an external HDD and some MOs that way, some time ago.
Of course this is only possible for HFS and...
@Protocol7: No Copland for me right now. I had to attach my old Sony CRT to the 7100, as I needed the TFT and VDO adapter for the iMac. I dont think I have a spare HDD right now for Copland and installing on MO would be rather painful, I presume.
I saw Sarah running quite nice in SheepShaver...
No, JT. Nobody cared or thought it worth thinking about, except you - of course.
Actually I was with X86 most of the time lately and must admit I hardly used the 7100.
It sits beside my Hackintosh, as it was insanely expensive when it was new and it did serve well for many years.
Of course...
No, I better should have made clear. I mounted the img/toast thingies in SheepShaver, let Sherlock look and took a glance at the Hypercard stacks describing the inventory. Thats why I´m pretty sure there is nothing up for you regarding this thread. There are many other interesting files, e.g...
I hardly dare to ask the obvious: Did you try MiniVMac for running your app?
http://minivmac.sourceforge.net/doc/download.html
I found MiniVMac and FusionPC best for running the very old stuff, if you dont have a suitable vintage Mac.
FusionPC will need to be hosted in DOSBox,(or in WIN98 or...
I´ll look through the October´93 disk, whether theres any FDDI stuff on it.
For the old volumes from 1991, which one would you regard as promising - anything from 1 to 6 or 8?
I only saw one more or less affordable 73GB new IBM drive here for EUR 63.- plus costs for an adapter.
Who would need 73 GB for a 68k Mac? Maybe the Amiga SCSI-1 to CF are the way to go rather.
powerpup, I hope I didnt hurt anybodies feelings, I´m by far no expert with SCSI HBA.
The few...
TPR is likely "Termination Power" the device will empower the bus in case voltage is weak.
This does NOT mean the bus is terminated. Termination has to be done seperately on the 50pin flat cable.
If you want to use ID0, no jumpers for SCSI ID have to be set.
If you need software for...
Correct me if I´m wrong, but I dont think MiniVMac was meant to make use of real SCSI drives.
FusionPC, SoftMac and BasiliskII (some versions) could address Mac SCSI volumes on a PC host,
if that is what you are after.
Salute superpantoufle,
I would re initialize your drive with one of these:
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/apple-hd-sc-setup-753-patch
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/lido-756
Partitions for every single driver are added on HFS disks, there may have been messed up something. Which app did...
Yes, GNU-Linux hosts may be preferrable. I am using a BII build from September 2010 occasionally.
The file is hosted on Emaculation. Floppy support is working, just remember pressing Ctrl + F1 to tell the Mac a disk has been inserted.
As you have a PC, why not use BasiliskII build 142 to emulate some 68k Mac?
The emulator reads and writes Mac HD disks fine and can be used to make boot floppies with disk copy.
It may be a rather long shot for making just one disk, but BII may be useful for other issues too.
A null modem cable can be made easily following the pin layout in the graphic´s upper right side.
I made such a Mac to PC null-modem in 1993. I used Dave Alverson´s ZTerm 0.85 on the Mac side.
No idea what was running on the PC/Amiga side though.
If I recall right, I got impressing 3600 Baud...
Just to confirm - yes I did it with a standard electric iron like shown in the video, actually my fingers became hot too :-)
Soft solder flux or a solder sucker may help, but I simply pulled out the slots.
I did not mind the solder on the pins, because I would need some anyway on my partial...
Thanks again, I did not see it was that simple!
I gave Photobucket a try and there´s a similar picture like the one included,
must have appartments for millionaires neighbouring the Hamburg Philharmony.

Could you try LIDO on your SE/30 and the LaCie box to set the interleave maybe?
LIDO 3.X used to be on Macintoshgarden, but the site is down (again).
I might look if I stored it locally, in case you would like to try.
I offered my old (SCSI) devices here for costs of shipping...
