    LC575 with accessories

I got a 575 back in 2009 for free from another forum member and I just love it. Mine's currently in storage right now though as I haven't a space for it at home just yet.

    QuickTake 100, software and more!

I didn't get a chance to test it yet, but I do hope it works! If not, I still got the cool carrying case out of it - which I can use with my current camera!

    QuickTake 100, software and more!

That I am not sure about! I'm out of town right now, but I can look when I get back home.

    QuickTake 100, software and more!

Through my last few days of my former job, I was allowed to take home some of the various vintage Mac odds and ends I've accumulated through my time there. I got some seriously awesome stuff out of it! (I'm still waiting on release forms for some actual Macs, so there will likely be another post...

Quicksilver upgrade processor option & opinion

My 733 actually has cache! My friend gave it to me back when the Quicksilver was just a carcass and I was pleasantly surprised when I checked it out in System Profiler. Come to think of it... maybe I'll ask him to check his parts farm for anything better. It would be nice if it was at least back...

Quicksilver upgrade processor option & opinion

As part of my 2011 Mac-related goals, I'm looking for a faster processor or dual for my Quicksilver. I'm currently running a 733Mhz single, but my machine is a 2002 model that was originally a 1Ghz dual. I've been checking eBay for a few days and the only processors I've found are the ones...

    PowerBook 520c!

It's here! A few pics from the iPhone: The full spread. (Yes, even came with the original stickers!) About this computer. This made me giggle just a bit. So yeah. Aside from one of the feets being broken, this machine is awesome and feels incredibly snappy with OS 8.

I got my shipment notice - it should be in my hands on Thursday!! :)

    PowerBook 520c!

Last week I randomly decided I needed a nice "new" old PowerBook to play with. I have a Duo 2300c but it does get a bit cumbersome to use without hooking up the mini-dock and various attachments. It's also in storage right now! Thanks to a quick eBay stop and a few days worth of watching, I...

    NewerTech 400Mhz G4 for 7/8/9x00 PCI PowerMacs!

Most likely. I'll have to check it out when I set it up again - I don't have a good place to set it up right now, I just take over the kitchen table as time allows.

    Cheap PCI Mac-compatible sound cards?

It's such a bummer - but really, unlike earlier PCs, Macs never needed sound cards unless you were doing something involving higher end audio! Maybe I'll get lucky and find something. I don't want my SuperMac to be on permanent mute.

    NewerTech 400Mhz G4 for 7/8/9x00 PCI PowerMacs!

Thanks to random boredom and a trip to eBay, I got a G4 upgrade for $9.99! With shipping it was $17, but still one awesome deal considering what I've seen them go for in the past! I have 2 machines it is compatible with: a 7500 series and a Umax S900. If I end up with a 9600 from the retired...

    Cheap PCI Mac-compatible sound cards?

In my most recent haul of Macs, I picked up a Umax S900 - unfortunately, I'm getting no audio from the internal speaker, and the headphone jack on the front is only outputting to the left channel. (I also have a StarMax that isn't giving me squat as far as audio goes.) I can't find that this is...

    Repairing G4 Cube speakers

Some time near the end of last year, my kitten got her little claws on one of my Cube's speakers and did a real number on it. It still works, but it sounds a bit bad and it looks terrible. I have a spare set of regular Apple Pro speakers at my disposal. Now, I haven't taken them apart to look...

    A pile of Beige!

No need, Scott, but thank you! I do appreciate the offer. Honestly, when it happened, I just laughed. I just said 'eh, I'll grab a drive out of storage next trip I make" and I finally did. Mechanical? Yeah, it made the most awful sounds and it won't even recognize that it has a drive...

    A pile of Beige!

Well I kept the IIci and the SE out of my storage unit. I believe the IIci is simply in need of RAM, as it gives the startup chime then immediate death chime. I couldn't remember whether or not they had any onboard RAM at all. Now I need 30-pin SIMMs. I replaced the dead 80MB ProDrive in the SE...

    A pile of Beige!

After istar1018 posted his listing, I had asked him about picking up some Macs he had for sale since I was heading to Pittsburgh this past Thursday to see Lords of Acid at Diesel (amazing show, by the way). I came back to Ohio with the following: Quadra 800 IIci Performa 6116CD and a Umax...

    $15 QuickSilver

I don't know if I ever posted about it, but I got a Quicksilver carcass (case, PSU, mobo, and even a set of Pro Speakers) from my office for $25 a couple years back. I had everything else I needed minus a processor and a friend gave me a 733 for free! I love the appearance of the Quicksilver...

    Power Book G3 'Lombard' 333

That's really cool! Most of the people I know who still have functional older Macs love them and won't part with them for anything until they're dead... but then I get project equipment ;)
