I've got one of these in the box. I got it a long time ago and never took it out of the box, just opened it up to check it out. I don't think it ran me any more than $30
The built in composite video input will work well for video capture. I've done so using software called BTV Pro which seems to have been discontinued. It runs under OS 8-9 and is a great app. The most important factor is HDD write speed. I never had an internal SCSI drive that would write...
Congrats, your power supply is failing. I'm doing some looking at repairing the Samsung one in my dual 1.25 as we speak. It used to come on using the button on an ADC display, but i transported it and now it won't boot at all anymore. My dual 1.42 will still work most of the time, but I have...
Can anyone tell me if the Apple AC Adapter M3365 will work with a StyleWriter 2200? If I'm not mistaken, its built for the 1500 and 2500, but its essentailly the same voltage, I just don't know if it will physically plug in.
No it sure couldn't ruin it. I took it apart when I first got it looking for an obvious problem, but didn't go into a really good tear down and cleaning. If I don't hit a good software fix, it'll probably get taken apart again.
And it could be damaged too. The screen is in beautiful shape, and that might be misleading. It could be just so far outta wack that it is calibrating the input way out of the range of the screen or something and it knows better, so it doesn't ever complete the calibration. Once I get my...
I'll have to give this a try. Hard reset doesn't work because you need to be able to tap the "Yes" button to give it the go to clear. I'd never seen this Extensions Off before. Thanks!
I've got a nice 2100 thats been kind of borked up since I got it. The unit powers on and brings you to the screen calibration screen. The screen responds to the touch of the stylus, but will never complete the calibration. It'll just look back to the first point and keep going indefinitely. ...
Get a 2000 or 2100 for sure. I've got an MP100 and an eMate, but they're not nearly as usable as the MP2000 or 2100 I've got. The eMate DOES run Newton OS 2 which is nice, but the thing is bigger than it looks and has the slower CPU. I think a fair price for a 2k or 2100 is around $60 these...
Final Cut Pro 7 (from Final Cut Studio 3) actually works just fine on the G5 even though Apple sold it as Intel only. Its actually a universal binary and I have it installed on my Quad G5 and on my dual 2.0GHz model before that. It'll run on yours since you have the 9600 with 128MB of RAM.
I like my 6400. I guess the design doesn't work for everyone, but I like the smooth edges and built in subwoofer. Naturally it isn't the most expandable tower, but I LOVE the fact it has IDE hard drive instead of SCSI.
I love my Performa 6115. Its one of the most reliable Macs I've ever owned. The little dude ran for over 2 years straight without a reboot as my LocalTalk to Eithernet bridge. 72MB of RAM and 9.2.1
I have an AsanteTalk, and I really can't say its been a problem for me. It runs pretty much nostop for months with only the occasional reboot needed. It also uses a lot less power than using a Mac as a localtalk bridge which I did do for about 2 years with my Performa 6115 CD.
My Quadra 800 is top 5 in my all time favorites list. It was the first Macintosh I used as my full time computer and it served as my primary setup for several years. 4 internal HDD's, external Apple CD 600e & ZIP drive too. Steamed right along with 7.5.5 then 8.1 later on. I'm sure it'll...
Its got a DVI-I output which basically works with any display that doesn't require a dual link connector. It carries both that analog signal as well as digital.
