so what did it do, open a window and start a timer? and what exactly do you mean by meltdown. there is no possible way that a virus could cause a literal "meltdown". this isn't the movies, software has basically a null effect on...
i'm not sure about the 9500, but it will definitely work in a 9600. they have the exact same PSU, and nearly identical mobo aside from some missing video circuitry and additional PCI slots on the 9600.
i know the mobo is basically the same between the two, i'm just not sure if the 8600's psu...
setting the drives up in a stripe RAID would be an utter waste. you'd essentially reduce the total capacity from 320GB to 240GB.

oh, and on the sound card you might try out drivers from m-audio's Revolution 5.1 sound card series, they are based...

those friggin video cards are epic! i could just stare at em.
so how do you actually input information into the forthbox? and how do you view the results of whatever programming you input to it?
you might also check to see if it has a VRAM expansion card, and whether or not thats properly aligned in its socket. possible its halfway out or something from shipping or however you got it.
AH! i'd read it to meant that those were the apps which were already installed. thats what i get for reading while under the influence of tired.
i dunno, how big is old-school pagemaker? i know Office 4.2.1 alone is about 50MB for base install iirc.
