Now, as I said in the other topic, if that floppy image indeed has a bad checksum, all you have to do is to skip the checksum test within Disk Copy. The image mounts just fine. From the other topic:

I can confirm what slomacuser says. I just try to install 7.5.3 from the floppies images found on the so-called Legacy CD Rar. It went just fine in Mini vMac. Disk Copy does indeed think image #8 has a bad checksum. Then what? Just mount the image and skip the checksum test! It's just that easy...

I never heard of that being possible. Maybe you'll want to go with an external solution.

If calibration doesn't do it, then I'd say the battery's dead. I saw that wit my first gen "BlackBook": one day 85% of full charge capacity, and the next day it shuts off without warning after half an hour. But that one was under a battery recall from Apple, so it was changed by AppleCare.

First I'd suggest you go through a full calibration circle. The fact that the iBook shuts off without warning nor sleep seems to tell the battery doesn't know what's its charge.
