Loband: web fat trimmer for limited clients.

yes, it does allow you to enter text into search fields, and hit hit enter! however, i wasn't able to login to the 68kmla forum -- must be something with a secure connection not possible via loband.

Compact Macs On the Web- Got Some Questions

Right, Disk Copy 6.3.3 got the Asante EtherTalk Installer.imag (1.4 MB) to load right up into a mounted disk image file (transferred it to the Plus' external hd via a powermac 6100). Ran the Asante installer on the Plus with OS 7.5.3, now just have to figure out what software is needed to...

Compact Macs On the Web- Got Some Questions

What's the deal with the Asante driver? The one on Asante's legacy downloads website is a 1.4MB image file -- which of course can't be copied onto an 800K disk for the Mac Plus. http://www.asante.com/support/legacy/Bridges/EN_SC.asp Alternatively, over at Jag's house, there's an Asante...

I got a weird one for ya

Does anyone know the steps on how to do a fresh install of the Mac OS 8.1 (or 8.x) software on a 6100? I can get cd-roms made from Disk Utilites on my powerbook and the run them on the 6100 via its AppleCD 300e. Specifically, I am shooting for the goal of getting the 6100 online with ethernet...

Power Mac 6100 monitor issue NEC MultiSync LCD1550V

Next I am going to get the 6100 online via the ethernet plug in the back. I have Netscape Navigator v3.0 installed on the machine, but have to configure some things to get it working correctly. It currently says that Netscape is "unable to create a network socket connection."

Power Mac 6100 monitor issue NEC MultiSync LCD1550V

Right-o trag & PowerPup -- its the 1/2AA battery! I pulled it out, tested the voltage with a multi-meter, and it showed a weak 1.6V (should be a solid 3.6V). And the power-cycle trick worked! The 6100 booted right up on the LCD monitor, with DIP settings on the Mac PnP adapter at 5 &amp...

    Dead Internal Floppy Drive

FIXED! Here are my observations/notes: 1. used a handy, long-handled XTD-15XL Xcelite T-15 Torx screwdriver to get at the screws behind the top handle of the Plus case; 2. after sliding the Plus case apart, popped three cables off of the vertical power supply board, also popped off the...

Power Mac 6100 monitor issue NEC MultiSync LCD1550V

I am attempting to get my Power Mac 6100/60 to run on an LCD monitor, specifically an NEC MultiSync LCD1550V. From the Mac I have: HDI-45 to DB-15 "pigtail" adapter; to Sony DA15 to VGA DE15 "Macintosh Adapter", which has a switch that alternates between 1) 21" MULTI mode or 2) VGA/G3 mode...

    Dead Internal Floppy Drive

Yeah i think there is something going on with the push switch in the left corner of the drive: It stays down after I manually remove a floppy by ejecting it with a paper clip. This needs to be cleaned ...

    Dead Internal Floppy Drive

I inserted a floppy disk into my (recently resurrected) Plus' internal floppy disk drive, the drive then made a short "humph" sound, and thereafter died ... After manually ejecting the disk with a pin, further attempts at inserting a floppy are greeted with no sound or movement or more "humph"...
