The TI-84 is just the case. I stripped the motherboard and screen and replaced them with the Pi and an Adafruit 2.8" touch screen.

What do you guys think? So? It's just a TI-84. So? It's just an ugly TI-84 with a bunch of crap strapped to the back of it. OH! It's a TI-84 with a Raspberry Pi inside it! It's exactly that. Just a proof of concept. I thought the TI-84 would be a good case choice. After cutting the...

Got this at an estate sale. They wanted $30 but I went on the last day a few hours before closing and got it for $10. Looks very well taken care of! I should probably be concerned about the batteries though!

I googled the model, nothing but people who sell belts. Shouldn't be hard to find one then, huh? Just no information about the unit itself.

At $55 this doesn't seem too bad. Probably not my best purchase, as it seems a little newer and a bit cheap. What do you guys think?

I have recapped the receiver as well as the tape deck and they both sound great! I sold the printer for $10 making the receiver free + $3. Caps for the receiver were $40 though...

    2010 Mac Pro 12-Core - $300

I've never been to any kind of surplus auction, hence why I am asking. I have been to a storage auction a year or two ago when Storage Wars was a bit more popular. Some people were bidding on a unit full of unmarked cardboard boxes for $300+. One guy said he was just walking to the convenience...

Use the receiver? Of course! I've just never restored one of them before so I'm not sure exactly what to do.

Tested the receiver, works great! What should be done to keep it in top shape? Recap? Probably, but what else?

Today's most notable yard sale finds. The iSight was $15 and the vintage receiver was $7 with a printer included. Might I add that these receivers don't come up often? This was the first I have found after years of yard sale searching. The iSight looks new, or put back in the package very well.

The Portable goes pretty well there. Not sure where I am going to put the Mac TV (if I ever come across one)!

I got some time to get the Portable fixed up. Now with 4MB of RAM and a 50 pin SCSI drive. I ordered the middle display piece from techknight which should be here soon. I also picked these up for $15 each (no power supply). I am interested in selling them if you do at least a one pass erase...

All the rage but not so anymore? Seems like several people still light up and trick out their builds. Unless you mean it isn't as big a deal as it once was, then I agree as almost every custom build has a plexi window on the side.
