Kallikak and porter,
Yeah, you guys are right, what I assumed was a loop using WaitNextEvent was not. I haven't changed the code yet (Basilisk wasn't cooperating), but I'm sure that's indeed the problem.
Thanks.
I can't figure this out. When I turn on my Apple //e the just says "Apple //e" at the top, and nothing else happens. I was expecting a prompt for Apple Basic. The Apple //e emulator I have does the same thing, so I'm guessing the computer is working, I'm just clueless. I looked for some...
It's from a programming book. An example of how to make a full screen application. There's event handling going on. Although the cursor is hidden, and in OS9 it takes the screen shot as soon as I quit tha app.... Hmm...

I have to guess that's a joke I don't get?
Well, it included a firmware update with a readme file from 2001. Seems odd that it just noticed the update.
I've been running OS 9 on my iMac for many months now. All that time it's been hooked up to the internet, and running more often than not, often for weeks at a time. All of a sudden today, Software Update pops up and tells me that there are new versions of things. CarbonLib, AppleScript...
