Looking for the name of a game I used to play

Back in elementary school, there was a math game I used to play. I thought it was called MacVirus or something, but I cant find anything that matches what I remember. The game was situated around stopping a computer virus that liked to eat computer chips with walls of blue robots or something...

Solid State Hard Drives - Anyone Taken The Plunge?

Would one of those work in a Mac Mini G4? I didn't see it listed under the compatible systems, but I would assume that it would work anyway as I believe the G4 Minis were IDE, Right?

Should the 1GHZ sonnet Encore be grounded?

Thanks, I was able to locate the software and get it up and running properly. It makes the machine quite a bit faster.

Should the 1GHZ sonnet Encore be grounded?

I decided to gamble and boot it. Apple SYstem profiler says that its is a processor of unknown type, and it is running at 67 MHZ. Is there something wrong with it?

Should the 1GHZ sonnet Encore be grounded?

I recently came across some more of (and bought one) the 1 GHZ G4 Sonnet Encores on eBay, and I noticed that it doesn't use the stock heat sink, and it doesn't seem to have a provision for the grounding cable in my Beige G3. Am I ok to just remove it, or is there something I'm missing? Other...

    Beige G3 Tiger Install revisited

A while back I attempted to install Tiger on my 266 MHZ Beige G3. Today I received a Sonnet G4/500MHZ CPU I had bought off eBay. I installed it and tested it. I decided to reattempt my Tiger install. I ran Xpostfacto with my Tiger DVD in my DVD drive, it began the install and appeared to reboot...

    Classilla 9.1

I just did a processor swap in my G3 today, and decided to do a little messing around online and I found that Facebook's status updates page no longer loads. I just get the blue toolbar, an inch of empty space, and then the bottom of the page. I've messed around with the preferences, but nothing...

    512k that's been microwaved

Maybe someone should buy it put a small deposit down, then say they want to do local pickup and then set the seller straight. I agree on reporting the item.

    Classilla 9.1

Just downloaded and installed the latest version. Everything seems to work better so far. I can load FaceBook on my G3 without using the mobile site, and sites seem to all around load faster.

    Attention all PowerBook 5300cs Owners

Not at all. Way to distracting. I tried playing Spin Doctor on it but I couldn't concentrate due to all the movement.

    Attention all PowerBook 5300cs Owners

I don't like the screen on mine. It looks really "bubbly" (pixels seem to float from the bottom of the screen to the top, like bubbles in a fish tank) and the movement kind of distracts you from what you're doing.

    Old Apple dealer pins

I always found At Ease neat. I remember there was a glitch with it and Odell Down Under where after quitting the program you could get to the Finder. I remember seeing that for the first time, and thinking that the desktop looked so cool. There was another program that was called kid desk (or...

    XPostFacto

I was thinking More along the lines of using SCSI (it does have a HDI 30 port or something, right?) to copy everything to another drive as a backup, then formatting and partitioning the drive in the kanga, and finally copying everything back to the drive (plus it defragments your files!)

    XPostFacto

I can't say it will work for you with a laptop, but when I installed the new 80 GB hard drive in my Power Mac G3 (rev. B) , all I did was format and partition the NEW drive then I copied over my entire OS 9.2.2 System Folder to it and it was bootable. I have had no issues with at so far. I also...
