After reading this post, I hooked up a couple of my 500 series, and I found that the monitor output is active even with the lid open. However, I also found that one of my 540s does NOT output video, but a 2nd one DOES. I'm going to have to remove the logic board from the one 500 and swap it...
I just got the BlueSCSI v2 with WIFI running on my Mac Portable. I'm wondering if this software will work with that? Has anyone tried this with less than a 68030 Mac?
My friend 3d printed some clutch covers, I haven’t test fitted them yet, but they look identical. I’ll ask him about his designs again, apologies for not following up on this.
Hey all, a guy not far from me had a large collection of vintage computers fully restored: Coleco Adam, TI 99 4/A, Amiga, etc. i bought two LCs from him and one of them had this card:
Apparently it’s quite rare. Has @Bolle or anyone else reverse engineered this yet? There’s no FPU in it...
The Micron card is hard set to $09 the Radius and MacCon can be changed to $0A and $0B so to not conflict with $0E (built in video). It would be super cool if $0E could be dedicated to another card instead somehow.
Glad you like them! I should add that the card did work with that weird B&W video card, I think I tried it in both slots and it worked.
I also installed the PDS to Nubus adapter (with metal bracket) with a full sized Rasterops 24Mx. It worked as well, but the card is so large, it barely fits...
Hey there!! That is absolutely crazy!!!! I have read that you can also install MacOS X with the G3 upgrade using XpostFacto. Wondering if you could also install Leopard or even Sorbet Leopard possibly. It would be amazing to see BeOS running on there as well.
Could you provide the link to...
Hello!
About a month ago I picked up a bunch of machines that someone was throwing out, and in that group was a RasterOps 24Mx card with the original box, floppies and manual!!
I also bought a IIsi system from someone who was getting rid of older items. It came with 9Mb ram, 80 Mb HD, a dual...
Thanks Bolle! I’ll try again. Do you see anything wrong with my CRT board? I followed the specs as closely as possible. Or does the initial photos tell you that it should be working with your adjustments? I’m fairly certain that the wiring harness is correct.
Well I tried adjusting it but now I’m getting no picture at all…. It’s tricky to adjust with power on as I don’t want to damage the tube. The pot doesn’t feel like it’s making any difference. Should it be turned clockwise, counter clockwise??
I tried adjusting it, but it didn’t do anything. Unless I ran out of patience and need to keep trying. I’ll double check the wiring of the harness and try it again with another SE/30 I have. Where are you located? It would be nice to send the CRT board, harness and Micron card to someone with...
Hey there!
This evening we worked on the CRT board and wiring harness for the Micron XCEED Color card.
Hooked everything up and the monitor is working, but no definite picture.
wondering if there’s anyone in Canada who could double check my work.
pretty sure the harness and CRT board are...
There's no Cache/Accelerator markings, so I'm guessing you could put two PDS cards in here
I'll take a picture of the back, but I don't remember any marking specifically. I'll look for a part number or something.
I picked up a IIsi and found this card inside. It had a video card attached to it with a weird DA-9 connector on it. I’ll show that later.
I’m guessing that this is the Dual PDS adapter.
Can anyone confirm?
