    mac mini woes

Hey thanks, I will try that out. As far as one of them goes, I am sure the mobo is toasted. It has a burn mark on it on the bottom where there is an visible break with solder joins around a chip. It looks almost as if there was an explosion under the chip! I hope it is a power button or a...

well i am pretty sure that the power supplies are good. I havnt found an apple service manual and have actually never heard of those. I think my next step is to pop out the mobo and inspect for broken solders joints and shorts. I will keep you updated.

    B&W G3 Powerlogix no boot

it is a powerforce that you adjust the speed using cpu director. the jumper settings arent supposed to matter. This leads me to think that it is an open firmware problem. I tried experimenting with jumper settings. If i clock the 350 mhz down to 266 mhz on a 67 mhz bus it will not boot...

    B&W G3 Powerlogix no boot

I have a powerlogix powerforce g3 and my computer wont boot with it installed. It still boots with the orignal processor. The powerlogix was previously installed into a beige g3 and another B&W, but running bus speeds of 67mhz. Mine is running at the full 100 which is why I want to use...

    b&w g3 will not start

I just got a blue and white g3 to replace my beige. I want to put my sonnet accelerator into the b&w, but whenever I clock the bus down, it will not boot. I would just keep the beige as my main machine, but the video is wayyyy to slow and the b&w doubles almost all of the video...

Power book G4 1.5ghz plays jump randomly

i took a look at her activity monitor and there were three launchd processes open, but none of them were using any memory or processor time. Is there any way that i can check to see if a process has an attached file? Also I was unable to find a music file, but that just means it isn't labeled...

Power book G4 1.5ghz plays jump randomly

It only happens once ever couple of weeks which makes it so hard to find out. I don't think it is serious if it is a virus because it will mute with the computer. The only way she was able to make it stop was to restart the entire 'Book.

    Screwy Video Card Problem

The 66 mhz slot should not effect it. If the card can fit into the slot normally, then it is rated for that speed. Are there any broken or loose solders on the VGA connector? I have had that happen to me on an old card once after swapping it. Sounds like you need a new video card.
