Anyone have a Mac OS 9.1.1 disc?

Nobody does, because OS 9.1.1 never existed, and even if it did, OS 9 is still regarded as commercial software, which we don't distribute here.

    AppleFile

Very nice. I love the carpet too, adds to the "retro" look. Also, I prefer the second logo, since its the same style as what Apple used for the DuoDisk logo.

    Warning! Exploding Maxell PRAM Batteries

I doubt it. But whats the point given that the battery is most likely already dead, and you've got the machine open, and can remove the battery, therefore removing the risk completely?

    1/2 AA 3.6volt (less than) $1 buck ea. - /w catch.

*shrugs* I ran a 3V camera battery in an LCII for years, it was a bit bigger than the normal PRAM batteries, but I never had any issues with it.

DA15F to VGA to DVI adapter?

    SpindlerPlastic™ :)

DA15F to VGA to DVI adapter?

I doubt it - the VGA -> DVI adapters I've seen are for connecting a VGA display to a DVI-I port on a computer. If you take a look at the DVI plug you'll see that it likely won't have anywhere near the same number of pins as a normal DVI connector. Furthermore, it will likely have no...

    Beige G3 Tower startup issues

My Beige has always been a bit...well..."different". It has never liked shutting down. I shut down, and the machine reboots. Only way to kill it is to pull the plug. And one of the RAM slots is completely dead. I get the broken glass sound when RAM is installed in that slot. In regards to the...

    A little bit of Lisa . . .

*sings* A little bit of Lisa in the sun... Looks that way too...though to be fair, its not as bad as *some* yellowed machines I've seen.

    Nice score for $ 80

I'd keep the monitor, thats a nice 13" Trinitron, perfect for just about any 68k.

Which new Mac is the right one for me?

For OS 9, I think a QuickSilver or non-FW800 MDD G4 would suit you fine.

    ADB cable = S-video cable?

My Beige G3 runs an S-Video cable as an ADB cable, people have been doing it since wayyyyy back in the day. You won't have any trouble at all.

    G3 card in a 9150

Exactly...not to mention that its not really that much of a "mod"...the machine looks the same, works the same, feels the same, etc...the only difference is that everything just happens faster.

TiBook 500 won't power up (fixed)

The PRAM battery in this machine was flat when I got it, I've since removed it, however it does still have a good main battery (a Hong Kong eBay special), which still keeps the contents of PRAM alive.

SGRAM update in Bondi Blue Rev A

Yep - all tray load iMacs, Rev. A -> Rev. D, as well as the Beige G3, all used the exact same part. (another source for it is old PCs that run a Rage IIc or Rage Pro - in the past I have seen at least one AGP graphics card, think it was a Rage Pro, that had the exact same SGRAM slot)

    G3 card in a 9150

I'm not sure if they come with a control panel, but I know that they rely on an extension in order to run - you could disable the G3 extension when you want to use the onboard 601.

TiBook 500 won't power up (fixed)

Way to go, yeah...in much the same way, my TiBook seems to have fixed itself. Had another look at it today, booted first time 'round. Put it back together and all is well - in fact I'm actually posting this from it.

TiBook 500 won't power up (fixed)

Hmm, TiBook just decided to come back to life. I just thought I'd try one more time after making this post, and it booted right up. Even put the HDD back in and it booted straight into Leopard. I'll leave it running tonight and see how it goes, but its working fine now. *shrugs* My guess is it...

TiBook 500 won't power up (fixed)

So last Sunday I went to fire up my TiBook 500, which worked perfectly the last time I used it. Hasn't been fired up in about a month, so naturally I expected the battery to be flat, but the machine to otherwise boot. The machine is completely dead. At this point I've tried a different power...

Scheduled On/Off for Macintosh SE - Suggestions Needed

Given that you live in the US, the PowerKey is an option for you. Always wanted one of these back in the day, though sadly they never made a 240V version.

Power Macintosh G3 (blue and white)

Very nice :) I saw that one on MacTalk and was thinking of going for it...but then common sense got the better of me and I realised that 1. I don't have the room, and 2. I already have a Beige G3. :) Good to see its gone to a good home. :) But yeah, the life cycle of computers seems to be...
