    Apple HD20 SC question

Can the Apple HD20 SC be set to a SCSI ID of 0? The manual talks about SCSI devices being able to be set from 0-6....without specifically saying what the HD20 SC's range is. I'm assuming it can be set to 0 because in 1986 when it came out, the Mac Plus didn't have an internal SCSI drive that...

iPhone uses a Magneto Optical Disk.

Did you watch the end of the MO Disk video I posted above?  I break down what USB subclasses work with the iPhone.  The UFI, or Universal Floppy Interface subclass, doesn't seem to work.  Neither does the optical media subclass.  I've learned a bit more about USB Mass Storage since I started...

iPhone uses a Magneto Optical Disk.

The iOS dictates what types of devices are supported, not an individual app.

iPhone uses a Magneto Optical Disk.

Here’s a little something to pass the time.  I’ve made a video on connecting a magneto optical disk to an iPhone.  I love the history here, because Steve Jobs used magneto optical disk on the early NeXT computers. Enjoy! Niles

Original Macintosh Keyboard and Mouse on an iPhone.

The floppy EMU already emulates a HD20!  The guy that made it basically crack the lost code on how the HD20 works.

I'd be happy with an HD20 or HD20SC USB Mass Storage Adapter.

Original Macintosh Keyboard and Mouse on an iPhone.

Problem is, iOS 13 new external storage feature only can read HFS+, APFS, FAT (12,16,32), and ExFAT.  It will never understand MFS or HFS. Heck, even 10.15 can no longer read or mount HFS.

Iomega Zip Drive connects to iPhone over USB

iOS 13 now allows external storage to be connected to an iPhone or iPad.  I was wondering why retro tech that supports USB Mass Storage might work.  Let's try a Zip Drive!  Will it work?  Enjoy the video I made of the procedure. https://youtu.be/YLYrK8-TOu4
