From memory, these came with a 160MB or a 250MB drive. I see no reason why a 1GB drive wouldn't work.

Makes me love my boxed Q700, with all original documentation and accessories. Makes me wonder how much it is worth though...

Yep, moved here for work. I now have limited space for all of my gear, so I'm considering selling some stuff. I don't need every compact model ever made, even though I like having them. I probably should clear out the excess and keep what I need (or want!). Thanks for the info.

I picked up a 17" 1.25GHz model for $20, as it was booting to a black screen but making a 'bong' sound, Turned out to be faulty RAM, so I bumped it up to 1GB of RAM and it's a great machine. Nice work!

I think you're out of luck in that case. I don't believe there are any other serial numbers that match in. However, you might be able to date the machine looking at the parts inside, and their serial numbers may give clues.

We probably should PM each other in future to make sure we don't overpay! I wonder items we've all driven up for each other over the years? I shudder to think!

Hi all, I recently won this boxed system software. The box has some minor creasing, but apart from that, it is like new. For a 25 year old pack, it's in fantastic condition. It is fully complete, it even has the packing list and other documentation. Seems that this was released in October...

Ha, you found a display model! Just like the Flower Power one I've got. I did have another 5 of different colours which I sold off, but the FP I just had to keep.

I have two Cubes - one made in the US, one made in Singapore, so it sounds right.

I use car wax on the Cube plastics to get them looking great. Gets rid of the small scratches!

I haven't seen it affect pricing much at all, because most buyers won't care or know about the difference.
