Weird, it won't boot off the HDD or CD... It is showing a "Can't open boot device" for the CDs, and an "Illegal instruction" for the HDD. At least I got it out of booting from net! :p

We opened it around noonish today, and got all that crap out. So much dust!!!
Polishing went well, too. The back shell was almost spotless by the time it got together.

Smacked what part of the CRT? If you forcefully smacked the neck of the CRT, you may have damaged it...
I don't know any other instances where this has happened, so I'm at a :?: right now.
Woo! I'm done. The mouse WORKS! The wires are soldered together... Inside the mouse! (don't mind the random toys in the background :p )Unfortunately, the cable isn't a yellow transparent. But who the heck cares? :D

So I got an Apple USB mouse for $.50, and it's the original Bondi flavor one! Too bad the cord was cut... :-/
But we can fix it! We have the technology! A generic USB cable should do the trick. It has to be as thin as the original cord, though.
A basic remainder is that most USB cables have...

As for the mouse, I'm thinking about resoldering the cord back together, and getting it to work again... Hopefully, the actual circuitry on the inside is okay.
