Thanks for the tip on that microscope. I picked up a stereo optical scope several years ago, but found it very cumbersome to use. This looks like a better solution.
The clips are great, but be warned they do not help in cases where the SIMM socket is warped. The only thing that worked was a thin PCB shim I picked up from a vendor - I think it was Ko-Fi (?)
For those of us who are continually confounded by bridges, tunnels, taps, etc. would you consider posting a complete example? I'm planning to stand up a new tashrouter + netatalk server and could use just a wee more concrete guidance.
The answer was just too simple... There are three possible display modes and it defaults to "Basic", which does not show station or net numbers. Sheesh.... Sorry for the noise!
I have an Appletalk router (tashrouter) as mentioned in my original post. There is a single zone. I am not seeing the dialog in your screen shot. That is what I'd like to see, but I'm only getting `Current zone: <no zones available>`. The other four line items don't appear.
On some of my systems, some of the time, the Appletalk control panel shows Zone (if available), network and station numbers and offers the option of specifying the latter two. Other times, it simply tells me the zone is not known while displaying nothing about network and station. Can anyone...
Sorry to revive an old thread. I have one of these video boards (also a $5 flea market purchase) and would like to get it working with my SE/30. Simply plugging it in doesn't get me very far. There are no signals evident on either of the output connectors and I suspect a display driver is...
Not a good idea unless you want to overstretch the head tensioning springs. With the drive out of the enclosure trigger the loading mechanism to bring the heads together, then slide a narrow piece of card stock soaked in IPA between them and wipe it around in a circle.
If anyone needs the updated firmware and flasher utility please PM me? That vector test image is cool, but I could not figure out a way to download it. The button redirects to an area at Extron that's accessible only to registered owners.
