I found an iBook G3 in a computer recycling pickup bin today. It looks like it has an 800MHz G3, 512MB RAM, a CD-RW drive, and 14" screen. I don't know if it works, I need to get a HD for it (at home), and get a USB keyboard plugged into it. I'll post pics and more updates as they are...

Just an update, I got it working perfectly the way I wanted it to work. I'm using my PowerBook 3400c as the server (for power conservation), and the LocalTalk Bridge control panel. The OS X machines and OS 9 machines see it perfectly, without problem. Woo :)

I went and picked up a Power Mac 7300/200 off Freecycle today! Though I haven't gotten to try it yet; my mom's being completely unreasonable saying that I now have too many computers. :\ Expect a huge FS list in the Trading Post soon. :)

Dude, nice score! The iMac G4s ROCK. (I've got a 17" 1.25 one myself) Why don't you try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on an inconspicuous spot of the case (Maybe on the back near the ports?) and see if it gets it off well?

Logging the channel chat is a great idea. I've had to go back into these logs various times to get bits of info. Making them public, though, is not such a good idea. This may be considered a violation of privacy to some (even though it's a public channel). Keeping private logs is your choice...

It was a LOT longer than three weeks. It went down at the end of March, and wasn't back up until May 1. Well, okay, not a LOT longer, but it sure seemed like that :)
