I picked up an old Amstrad PC1640 today - the computer I first took with me to university before rapidly upgrading through a 386DX and then a state of the art 486DX2 - and then chucking them all away in favour of a Mac.
It's been used in a garage for 40 years and is covered in a thick film of oil, dust and swarf - and amazingly still works. I'm gonna have to write up this restoration!

Just bought a new bike. And an Amiga 1200. The bike cost more!
Wondering if I now need a QL to complete the 68k set! (Probably not!)

Writing software for ancient Apples. Will anyone ever run it?

I'm feeling a profound sense of unease about the world. Reading about the bile and horribleness being unloaded on anyone who isn't a) caucasian, b) male, c) straight cis d) reasonably wealthy is enough to make me want to run screaming back to bed. So I did what (I think*) I always do - I bought another computer. Then felt a bit depressed that I didn't do something worthwhile with my money.
* I might be wrong.

Owner of more Macs than I care to think about. Proud owner of a fleet of bicycles (personal record distance - 325miles in one day). Adventure sportsman and retro enthusiast. You kind of have to feel sorry for my poor wife!
