Nutmeg 30/2 expansion card: any references or drivers?

Hi:

Recently i bought a SE/30 that came with this expansion card:

I replaced the card with Asante Ethernet, but anyway I would like to know more references for this card (it seems a video card) and if somebody could point me to the drivers (as the SE/30 came without drivers or programs).

Thanks in advance

I have a Nutmeg labelled 30/2. I presume you found the drivers. The card is from Canada. It powered a large grey scaled monitor - long gone.

Hello I have been wondering if it would be possible to source drivers for the Nutmeg 30/2 Video adapter card for the Macintosh SE/30 on System 7.

Thanks!

I'm re-posting my findings about these drivers, after my initial posts relating to nutmeg cards was lost in the great server crash. The nutmeg cards have a driver built in to the card, which will activate when a compatible monitor is connected. I have a Nutmeg 30/8 card and have been using it as such under system 6 through 7.5.5. Either a monitor or a Mac to VGA adaptor need to be connected which set the sense lines to indicate a compatible monitor model, in my case I have an adaptor with dip switches emulating a 13" Apple Colour Display. Furthermore the 30/8 card outputs sync on green, so requires a monitor compatible with RGsB, or a converter such as those made by Extron. I believe the 30/2 and 30/8 are similar in operation in most respects. There are drivers around for the 30/2 as linked above but I've not found any for the 30/8. I hope this information helps anyone else with this model of card.

Hi there, thanks for your post. I have a 30/8 found in a used se/30 bought here in Italy; i'm still repairing the machine, after that I'll be able to read the hard disk and check if there is any driver installed.

Thanks; I turned on the SE/30 yesterday night changing the motherboard with another recapped one. No traces of drivers around for the graphic card.
I never found any driver for the 30/8 either, only the 30/2. But it works fine without any driver as long as a compatible monitor is connected at startup.

Do let me know if you find a driver on that machine, grab it before the drive fails!
