Only the one disk which works fine in a 512ke that I have. Going to try format it single sided and put system 1.1 o there see how that goes.

It gave the code part way through attempting to boot from the external drive.  I was using an disk formatted 800K. According to Apple the code I got relates to the lack of support in the ROM for 800K disks.  I think it was 0F0004.

Hi all, I just added to my growing mac collection with a couple of 512s. One of them has a 400K drive which is totally dead and I think beyond my ability to repair.  I do have an external 800k drive I tried with it but I got a sad mac when I tried to boot off the 800K external which apparently...

I noticed that there is a larger filter cap. It looks ok but would it be worth also replacing this in an effort to solve my circuit breaking Mac plus issues?

I just thought, will it matter that I have a 240V (Australian) analogue board, it shouldn't matter for the flyback?

Thanks Technight, So I assume I can't use the caps that I linked too. The reason for my confusion is that in this other thread it was recommended to replace these caps with 10nF (0.01uF) Met Poly Class X2   X210N
