    My injection molded Duo keyboard project had to go through a lot of mechanical switches to find the right one that felt good but replicated height and kept original key shape. Those are in process now revising the molds. Sounds like your project shared a lot of the same issues I had.

    I think this is a fault within the screen itself. I've sold several NOS displays from climate controlled warehouse to people in just this situation. Sadly, it has become much more common of a failure.

    I'm not so sure that eBay is the arbiter of legal interpretations. I'd actually say that it is a case of unjust enrichment. The OP 1) received a benefit 2) it was at the sellers expense 3) the OP retained the benefit Yes there was an error on the sellers part, but that doesn't free the buyer...

    Recap the video board and use a lot of Deoxit to clean the trim pots working each back and forth many times. The V-hold is common to do what yours is doing. The RIFAs in the PSU are easy as well. So recap the PSU and video board, then make adjustments and you should be good to go.
