Cool. I could go for one of those for $10. Only with resale/shipping it could suddenly become a $75-100 Display. I talked to a guy who knew a recycler who would PAY $30 for one of those (at recycler's location) Of course metal prices are off significantly since then, what with the economy and all.
D'oh. I think you're right. No wait... I think we're both wrong
I was thinking of the 3.5" MO which came in 230MB.
The 3.5" SyQuest came in 105 and 270MB
The SyQuest EZFlyer came in 135MB (I know I had one.) which was later upped to 230MB.
So I do believe its a standard 3.5" SyQuest after all.
I'm a little worried about that one. Its a NiMH. and the 170 used a NiCad.
Today I opened up a malfunctioning 170 to get the disk drive and found it littered with spruce needles! After dissembling most of it to clean it, I opened up the battery. Being a decade and a half old it had leaked...
This SE/30 seems to have had its hard drive removed in favor of a 270MB 3.5" MO Drive accessed from the rear. Its in horrible shape but this just struck me as interesting. I can't fully explain why.
There's a chip on the board with a Motorola script M logo. it will have a 66 or 83 in a prominent position in the serial number. Someone else said it better in a another post.

:b&w: drive through recycling. Why expend any more energy to recycle than to buy cup of coffee or a big mac. Or in your parts, a bottle of whiskey.
Do they have drive through gun stores now? :b&w:
Actually that's not too bad. I saw somewhere recently that Houston was about last in...
Yesterday: First conquest worth mentioning in a while
craigslist: one 9600/300 w/ sony monitor. !.
On location: I find a nice lady wishing to get rid of more old stuff- an apple 14", stlywriter 2400 and IIvx. Also an Epson 3000 17" wide printer. Don't know what I'm going to do with that.
Hey I had a B&W 17" with the exact same problem a couple years ago. I tossed it, figuring it was unfixable. It was by me. But I guess not by everyone. Too bad, I guess.
Ahh... I remember playing UT on the 400MHz/rev A back in the day. And the quake3 demo. Its a solid machine. Except mine where I burned out the firewire hardware about a year ago. It crashed hard. The crash log wrote directly to the screen in command line style. Didn't make it to the log.
