Will a Color Classic fit in this apple bag?

Other, similar bag says it's " About 14 1/2" tall x 16 1/2" wide ." I'd ask the seller for inside HxWxD specs. Your misnomered CC  issignificantly larger in every dimension that anything in the "Compact Mac" form factor. So carryall bags for it will likely be much more scarce, especially so as the weight is also much greater.

Probably not that specific bag. That bag is the bag fofr the original compact Macs, and the Color Classic is a little bit bigger. The bag was intended, if I'm remembering correctly, to be a fairly snug fit.

This ad shows Apple's color classic bag.

That’s the 128K bag, CC will be too tall to fit and/or warp the bag cramming it in. The Apple bag for a Mac Plus - the burgundy one - will fit it fine

Thanks everyone for the feedback.  Also thank you for the link to the CC ad with a photo of the bag.  I do not think I have ever seen that bag before.  Yes, with your help I see that the bag I linked to on Ebay is just too small.  The larger bag I often see is maybe $100 to $150.  I am having a hard time paying that much.  I often fly and I would like to take my color classic with me.  I think the only safe way would be as a carry on perhaps stuck under the seat in front of me.  Worse case I could stick it in the overhead bin ..  thanks again everyone for the help and advice.

What airlines are YOU flying on? I can barely get my backpack under the seat in front of me. I have several compact cases (never tried to fit a CC in any of them, I use them to store Plus/SE/Classic computers) and I can't imagine fitting that case under a seat.

Overhead bin might work, I don't remember the full specs that airlines are enforcing these days. Good luck with your quest!

If it was mentioned in the first post, I missed the airline thing. This is a situation where flying with an LC-class system and getting a  VGA display at your destination, or using a PowerBook, may be a little more convenient. (Heck: a 15" VGA LCD might fit in a big backpack next to an LC in less overall space than a Color Classic woudl take up.)

Are you traveling in the US? Internationally? Where, and how much time? Perhaps a bus or train might have some better baggage accommodation?

I agree with @Cory5412 on this one. I’d go with an LC III, get a vga adapter, and a decent quality 15” 4:3 ratio display with a quick release base, smaller Apple keyboard, and a mouse. That setup could easily fit in a larger backpack and under most airline seats.  I’ve never seen an airline where fitting a CC under the seat would work. Maybe in the overhead bin on its side with no case, but that’s about it for carry on of a CC.

Security may ask questions about hauling around an almost 30 year old computer.
