Where to get my Mac SE/30 Recap'ed

I don't know how to solder at all. I was wondering if there was someone that I could send my Mac SE/30 motherboard too to get it recap'ed and cleaned professionally. Thanks... :-/

A TV repair place should be able to do it for you, if you bring them the parts and documentation. Ask around, preferably with the docs in your hand ;)

I really can't recommand a TV repair place. They are not used to soldering small SMD components, they just replace whole boards.

I have repaired a Classic II and SE/30 board for a friend of mine who did his boards in a TV repair shop in France: the SE/30 was messed up and they succeeded to lift 3x traces on 2 capacitors. In order to stick the capacitor to the PCB, they just glued it. I was really shocked :disapprove:

Then they gave him back the boards and said they were unrepairable... Luckily they didn't even start on the Classic II logic board yet.

So if I were you: let someone of the board here do the repair

Phreakout did a great job for me as well.
I try so hard...

No, seriously, send me a PM. Be aware, that the repair doesn't come without risks and I'll explain further in the PM.

73s de Phreakout. :rambo:

I found some, um, unflattering information about him by way of a few Google searches. If he's continued like he did in the past, he may be barred from any computer access.

Not sure what these negative Google searches said about Phreakout, but my own Google search merely shows that his last activity was on RetroMacCast in October 2013:

I myself have been on the bad side of forum admins before. Sometimes we, being human, simply don't say things that please all the people all the time. And of course there are times we throw our inhibitions out the door and quite literally do phreak out. But so long as we don't upset people perpetually, our faults should at some point be forgiven and we should be allowed to move forward with a clean slate, constructively and positively in our love for old Macs. Hopefully, whatever problems there are with Joe can be forgiven and resolved, allowing him to get back into the game.

But we all need to be aware that sometimes there are medical issues that take us out of the game for good. Such happened to that brilliant genius who designed the digital board of the Macintosh 128k, Burrell Smith.
