where to attach activity LED to hard disk?

Another intelligence test failure: I have an Apple original hard disk in my IIci. Where do I attach the disk activity LED? I see no connectors of any kind except SCSI and power.

Check on the underside where the SCSI jumpers are. Usually there's a terminal to add one.

Just looked. Doesn't look like IBM provided a terminal for adding a LED.

If your drive doesn't have a header, you can add an LED (with resistor) between TRMPWR(+) and /BSY(-).

Those drives don't have them for certain. There is usually a dual pin terminal on the front of the drive. Does the IIci have a disk light? Ignorance here: I have never used a IIci.

Yup, just like on an SE or SE/30. Both the IIcx and IIci have one. Is in the upper right corner, just below the case lid. You can barely make out the lens for it in my avatar.
