It's been all very hush, i've found. One could assume they're fitting into their new roles as quietly as possible.

Wonder what changes this will inevitably herald for this site.

I noticed this a couple days ago. Cory is an admin too, iirc.

~tl is still an admin, iirc, Admin is just not his main usergroup.

iirc ~tl hosts the 68kMLA, so he's probebly gonna just host it and let the others do all of the moderation stuff...

That's just my guess.

I bet Trash80 feels left out... :p

68kMLA Admin Emeritus
There wasn't a topic about this because, honestly, it's not that big a deal. I've got other things on my plate, so I've decided to step back from being an admin here. Dana (mania) also made a similar decision recently with her moderation status. These things happen. People come and go from forums over time. Cory and LCGuy are taking over the day to day admin duties, and I have no doubt that there will be some more appointments to the gaps in the moderation team in the near future.

I'm still in the admin group for the time being, while everything gets changed over. Eventually though, I'll be just a regular member again [:)] ]'>

The forums will also be moving off my server at some point soon, once we get something else sorted.

In the long run, who knows. However, any decisions made about the site generally go through quite a bit of discussion behind the scenes. So even though it may appear that I've been running the show for the last while (since the announcements generally are made by me), it's actually much more of a collaborative effort in terms of the decision itself.

On behalf of the entire board, thanks for administering the forum over the past few years. Your dedication to the forum, especially in light of the server failures we've had, was much appreciated by all.

Yeah.

I'm still curious as to why give up Admin status... Not able to afford the time anymore to keep the forums up and running?

Thanks for keeping this wonderful site up and running, though.

:)

Tom you've done a great job and Admin or no we will still look to you as such.

May your current endeavors be favorable ones. :)

So? He kept the site up and running. He updates phpBB, etc. You don't have to make lots of posts to be the Administrator.

Nope, not a bit! Admin's not my bag, wouldn't know where to begin. I had to pass on Tom's offer over on 'fritter to take over the NuBus Mafia because I'm not up to it technically.

I like to play in the mud with the troops in the field . . . :rambo: . . admin's headquarters work . . . 'nuf said! [:D] ]'>
