Strange Mac os 7.6 easter egg

Well the other day i was going thru my collection of cd drives and testing them one by one in my quadra 660av. anyway when i got to 1 12x apple drive i went to boot from a os 7.6 cd just like i had been doing with all my other drves. Then this strange error message popped up. i tried duplicating the same result a few times and was only able to get it to happen again about 2 times. now i cannot duplicate the error message at all. weird error message indeed.let me know what you guys think

I've heard of this before in Macworld Mac Secrets 5th edition. Some sort of glitch is activating this hidden easter egg.

this one was new to me thats for sure. i had never seen this easter egg or even heard about it for that matter

I have heard of this!!! It's extremely rare, from what I've read in the Mac Secrets book! It only comes up at weird times during startup.

The rest of the message is 'make a chewy snack.'

Weird 'Bluets and Granola Bars' Easter egg(?) and Mac OS 7.6

Page 303 of MacWorld Mac SECRETS (6th [unlimited] Edition) 2001 has the (a?) story. The effect is peculiar to System 7.6. It's not known whether the unpredictable occurrence is the result of an incomplete Easter Egg, but the code lies in the DSAT 0 resource (visible using ResEdit). What is of more interest is that it is not difficult to escape from the corruption that it causes if you boot from a Disk Tools floppy or System CD, and then do a clean install of OS 7.6.1 (or 8+).
