The journey continues. My Performa 475 was giving me the "Disk initialization failed because the disk is defective" message, so I cleaned and re-lubed the entire drive. Plug it in... nothing. I thought at first it may have been a zero track sensor issue, but I realized when I pulled the head away from the start position it didn't move back. It seems possible to me that the drive motor is dead, but that doesn't seem to be a common issue with these guys as far as I could tell. Is there anything I should look out for? Any ideas?
Included is a video of the drive trying it's absolute best
