I used to have an iMac (Comes in many flavors) Hanging banner that was used in the Local CompUSA when they were getting rid of it. I saw it in the trash and asked If I could have it. The kid there said "Sure, knock yourself out if you like that apple Crap"

Btw, i told the manager the following day, and they canned the kid. wasn't because he said that about apple, but the fact that he used fowl language towards a customer. Oops!

CompUSA was nothing but troubles for me. They recently closed all the CompUSAs here in Western Washington. Guess I wan't the only one with a problem there.

I've never been that lucky myself (and getting that kind of thing just before it hits the trash), but I most definitely would have done the same thing. Hell, if I worked there, I would have taken all of them (once they were trash-bound, of course), kept some, and sold the others online or whatever for some easy money. I just wish I knew when and where people were throwing out those kinds of things, because I'd be cramming all I could fit into my trunk on a regular basis.

I actually bought a couple of the clamshell iBook banners... one in orange, another in blue. They were insanely cheap on eBay a couple years ago (I forget what I was really looking for at the time though) for something like 7 bucks total for the pair, and that included shipping. It's hard to resist seeing stuff like that for so cheap that it makes you wonder why nobody else has snatched it up already. Really, the only thing more baffling than that is seeing something so expensive that you can't figure out who would be stupid enough to pay that much for it in the first place.
