Simon the Sorcerer 2 Music

Does anyone know if there is way to listen to the music of the game? I have the game original, the readme file says that the music is not included due to technical problems and that the music is provided on the cd in midi format. There is a directory "midi" in the cd but the game probably does not use it because there is no music at all, only sound effects and speech. The midi directory has 31 mid files which run and play normally with Arnold's midi player through quicktime and also through my Roland Sound Canvas SC88. I have copied the game to the hard drive, i have copied also the midi directory but nothing. It is like the following from mobygames for the Amiga:

Amiga version

The Amiga version, which wasn't released until several years later (and by a totally different company), didn't feature any background music at all. The reason was because the Amiga can't play MIDI music natively.

The game is tested on my Performa 6116 and also on Power Macintosh G3 Minitower, Imac G3 and Powermac G4 MDD.
