SE/30, Benchmarks between (Socketed or Soldered) 030

I even went a step farther to see if Mode 32 had any effect on both boards.

The test machine:

Used the same ROM in each board

Used the same RAM in each board, And in the same location, in exact order.

Used the same Chassis / AB board

NO PDS cards installed

Used same 40mb Quantum SCSI HD

Mac OS 7.0

Used Norton System Info 3.1

You might notice the video picture is displayed in an upgraded os, that was because after all the benchmarks I upgraded to 7.5.5 and forgot to include the video benchmark previously, So It's just displaying the benchmark video result that was before the 7.5.5 upgrade.

Also forgot to mention no other apps were running, pretty much a clean install, other then Super Clock.

I bet if you swap the clock oscillator, the slightly faster performance will follow the oscillator. It's soldered to the board so I wouldn't recommend actually doing this.
