SDFloppy II

No  concerns, I was just wondering if anyone had any opinions on it before I bought one.

I ended up buying one anyways, so I guess I'll find out for myself when it shows up!

I've kind of been considering one myself because of some of the limitations the FloppyEMU has with 5 1/4" emulation, at least in concert with the Disk ][ controller. Wish they were a tad cheaper, but only because they cost nearly as much as the EMU but only do the one thing.

I’ve just used mine with a IIe. With a disk II card it was about the same speed as a Disk II drive. Tried a Transwarp with slot 6 set to fast but no boot. Then as I lay in bed I thought about trying it with a UDC card. So I got up and did that. It worked as expected but it also wouldn’t work with a Transwarp with slot 6 set to fast.

So, I got my SDFloppy II in the mail today. It is an excellent piece of hardware and very well made. The construction and finish is really impressive, with a nice metal case. I plugged it into the internal floppy connector on my IIc so I could boot off it, and it works great. Just plug and play.
