Replacement screws for Macintosh Plus

Finally got the proper screwdriver to take apart my Macintosh Plus. When I took the screws out, I noticed all but the two screws in the handle are rusted and corroded. Is there a way I can get replacement screws?

Your best bet is to simply take the screws to the hardware store and ask for the best possible replacement. They may not have the Torx T15 screws, but if you've got a long-shafted screwdriver of the garden variety (flathead or Phillips), you're in business. By hardware store, I'm referring to the local mom and pop place that sells screws a la carte and will match them for you, not Home Depot, Lowe's, Menard's, etc where you have to buy a whole box of them without getting them sized.

I've restored old furniture and always go this route with screws, buying suitable replacements every time at a True Value hardware store called Vater's (in Pittsburgh). You may have to go to an older, smaller part of town that hasn't been invaded by big box stores to find one of these (most of the hardware stores I go to are in these types of areas--look for old neighborhoods or head toward the country).
